LAST CHANCE The People’s Museum of Limerick presents Coup D’oeil, an exhibition of new paintings by Aisling Burke O’Connor from the 1st to 12th March. Coup D’oeil, a new exhibition by Aisling Burke O’Connor, explores how a glance or glimpse can evoke deep emotional responses, shaping sensory perception. The work examines the link between these fleeting visual impressions and the visceral changes they induce, driven by the autonomic nervous system.

Kian Benson-Bailes’s exhibition Culchie boy, I love you / Grá mo chroí thú, mo chábóigín féin is on display in the Limerick City Gallery of Art until March 30th. The Exhibition comprises of sculpture, digital & material collage, musical instruments, ceramics, textiles, woodwork, and live sculptural sound elements. Originally from Sligo, Kian Benson Bailes received a BA in Visual Arts Practice from IADT, Dublin in 2016 and currently lives and works in Dublin. Recent multidisciplinary work has examined Ireland’s language and colonial history – as well as craft, folklore and art – to re-evaluate a sense of place and self. More info here

Séan Cotter’s exhibition Boulder Milt on display in the Limerick City Gallery of Art until March 30th. Séan Cotter is an Irish artist who lives in Cavan and is a graduate of National College of Art & Design, Dublin.  He has exhibited extensively in solo and group shows in Ireland and internationally. Boulder Milt is his first solo show at Limerick city Gallery of Art (LCGA).  Séan has been on many residencies in Iceland, Finland.  These residencies have been a source of real concern about the way in which this planet, earth, is changing due to Climate Change.  In the early weeks of January 2025 we witnessed the devastating impact on people, their lives and the landscape in California of the wild fires – the direct result of our disregard for nature and how this has led to catastrophic consequences. Ormston House is delighted to present Stuck, A Decomposition, a solo exhibition by Daniel Tuomey. The exhibition runs from 21st February –  26th April. Although Georgian houses are a familiar sight in much of the Irish urban landscape, they are rarely thought of outside the antagonistic paradigms of a barrier to progress or a conservational responsibility. Conceived in response to the built heritage of Limerick, this exhibition encourages a deeper consideration of the impact that these houses, their spatial principles and aesthetic conventions, have had upon the Irish psyche. In particular Stuck, a decomposition is a rumination upon how these edifices are a constant reminder of our colonial past and our uncertain future. More info her

Rapping in their native Irish, KNEECAP fast become the unlikely figureheads of a Civil Rights movement to save their mother tongue. But the trio must first overcome police, paramilitaries and politicians trying to silence their defiant sound – whilst their anarchic approach to life often makes them their own worst enemies. In this fiercely original sex, drugs, and hip-hop biopic, KNEECAP play themselves, laying down a global rallying cry for the defence of native cultures. Tickets €6. More info here
