We’ve got live music, sport, comedy, theatre and a whole host of other events. Let’s go Shopping! A History of Retail in Limerick Exhibition will be on display in the Limerick Museum from until Thursday 25th January. The Screendance exhibition is at the Limerick City Gallery of Art until the 28th of January, showcasing dance visual art and film in association with the Light Moves Festival. Curated by Morleigh Steinberg, ARCANE Space. More info here
Limerick City Gallery of Art is hosting a new exhibition, Nothing Strange or Startling by George Shaw, a Turner nominated artist, until the 28th of January. More info here

Get Well Soon (prologue) is a group exhibition in Ormston House (until Feb 3rd) drawing a connection between human and planetary exhaustion. Curated by Lucy Lopez. More info here
The Nights Candles Are Burnt Out: Climate, Culture, Change & Community Exhibition will be on display in The Hunt Museum until Thursday 29th February 2024. The exhibition is co-created by companies involved in alternative energy supply and technology, local communities and contemporary artists interpreting the science and facts, translating the fears and aspirations. Due to popular demand, Seeing without Sight returns for a second run in the Hunt Museum (until 29th February). Seeing without Sight is a multi-sensory exhibition which enables visitors to experience a selection of Hunt Museum objects through tactile displays and audio descriptions. It has been delivered through an inclusive co-creation process with persons with visual impairment and confirms the museum’s commitment to expanding access and inclusion for persons with disability. Monday 15th January
Run 061’s weekly Girls Night Run starts at 7pm. There are 3km, 4.5km and 6km routes. Open to runners of all levels. More info here

There’s a Contemporary Dance Class for Adults in Dance Limerick from 6pm to 7.15 pm and running for 7 weeks. These are suitable for both beginners and those with experience in Contemporary Dance. The goal is to help develop your creativity and technique. Through a series of energetic and challenging sequences and varied exercises, you will gain the skills and confidence to dance with ease. There’s a Ballet Class for Adults in Dance Limerick from 6pm to 7.15 pm for Beginners and 7.30pm to 8.45pm for Improvers. Running for 7 weeks. Ballet supports fitness, good posture, balance, flexibility, coordination, spatial awareness and rhythm. This class will invite you to try new things in a non-judgmental and safe environment. There is an Over 50s Dance Class in Dance Limerick from 2pm to 3.15pm. Dance Limerick’s Over 50s Dance Classes are a fantastic way to maintain well-being and keep active. Parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5k run that takes place every Saturday morning at 9.30am. Limerick has Parkruns at the UL Boathouse, Mungret Park and The Demense in Newcastle West. All you need to do is register once on parkrun.com to get your barcode and you can show up to any of the events.

Dance Limerick’s Saturday Dance Clubs for Kids are a fantastic way for our young dancers to keep exploring their creativity, express themselves, make new friends and learn new moves and routines. 10am-10.45am and 11am-11.45am for tots aged 2-4, 12pm-12.45pm for kids aged 5-8 and 1-2 pm for kids aged 9-14. Pigtown Pick of the Week L.A.S.A. Presents Lifts, Flip Top Head, and Ideal Living in Pharmacia at 7:30pm. Lifts are a five-person alt-rock band from Dublin.
