Bandcamp Friday – August Releases

Bandcamp are once again dropping their fees on purchases made today. This is a great opportunity to support local musicians and bands by buying their music and merch. Ahead of this month’s #BandcampFriday, we’ve had a look at some of the Limerick artists you should look at supporting. (You should also check out our post in May which has a number of other acts worth checking out).

Windings are doing a clearout of their merch this week. They have Vinyl, CDs, T-shirt’s, magnets etc all priced to clear. The money raised will go towards helping the band finish their upcoming album. https://windings.bandcamp.com/

Emma Langford is going retro by releasing her single Sowing Acorns on cassette. Yes, you read that right. This is a limited edition release. Emma will be sharing the profits with Arvo Party, Grainné Fahy and Vanessa Ifediora who are on featured on the cassette.

Folk act King Pallas are marking one month since the release of their EP We Pause by releasing 10 limited edition photograph 10×8 prints. They’re also throwing in a download of the EP to go with it which should be incentive enough. https://kingpallas.bandcamp.com/

Anna’s Anchor are currently working on a new album. You can support this by picking up a copy of their live album The Songs Were Okay, but the Stories Were Great. Buy it today and they’ll include your name on the cover of the upcoming album. https://annasanchor.bandcamp.com/
