The crew at Dolan’s has been busy putting together a fantastic lineup of gigs for the Live at the Docklands Festival 2025 in August. The lineup includes Moncrief, Picture This, the Waterboys, Block Rockin Beats, the Saw Doctors, Kingfishr and the Kaiser Chiefs. Let’s check it out.
Where is Live at the Docklands?
The Live at the Docklands festival takes place in a massive Marquee on Atlas Avenue, just off the Dock Road in Limerick. The venue is a short walk from Dolan’s Pub and Restaurant, as well as Limerick City Centre.
Who’s playing Live at the Docklands?
Moncrieff
Moncrieff plays Live at the Docklands on Saturday, 9th August. After a string of successful EPs and singles that have earned him 50 million streams since 2017, accolades like the RTÉ Choice Music Prize 2023 for Irish Song of the Year (for his 2022 hit Warm), and performances at major festivals such as Lollapalooza Berlin, he is set to play his biggest Limerick gig yet. Picture This
Kildare-based pop-rock superstars Picture This will be playing two Live at the Docklands gigs this summer as part of their Home For Summer Tour. The gig on Tuesday 13th August is sold out but, thankfully, they’re also playing on Wednesday 14th August. Picture This have established themselves as an acclaimed band out of Ireland; known for their compelling songwriting and electrifying performances. Their ability to blend heartfelt lyrics with powerful melodies has garnered them a devoted global fan base. The band represents a global underdog story, Picture This have unassumingly captivated listeners in every corner of the world through 3 album releases. More info here
The Saw Doctors
Legendary Galway band, the Saw Doctors, make a long-awaited return to Limerick. The Saw Doctors are a group of songwriting musicians from the West of Ireland, hell-bent on celebrating, observing, recording and sometimes poking fun at their own locality, accent and idiomatic use of language whilst dressing their songs up in their favourite sounds and styles from their years of musical fandom. Dec Pierce‘s Block Rockin Beats
After an insane sold-out show in 2023, TodayFM’s Dec Pierce is back in the Docklands with his Block Rockin Beats live show on Saturday 16th August. Block Rockin Beats is a performance of the world’s biggest dance anthems, featuring a full live band and special guests. A raw, energetic live set includes tracks from Underworld, Faithless, The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, and many more! More info here
The Waterboys
The legendary Waterboys are coming to the Docklands on Sunday, August 17th. Led by Scottish singer and guitarist Mike Scott since the 1980s, the Waterboys have evolved through countless line-ups and have won a fearsome concert reputation along the way. Their best-known songs include “The Whole Of The Moon,” “How Long Will I Love You,” “This Is The Sea,” and “Fisherman’s Blues.” More info here
Kingfishr
Limerick’s own Kingfishr will play a sold-out gig in the Docklands on Friday, August 22nd. The three-piece band has quickly established itself as one of the rising prospects in Irish music. Part of the newest generation of Irish contemporaries, the band’s grand, atmospheric tone, combined with its propensity for catchy melodies, has resonated with a wide audience. More info here
Qween, ft The Dublin Gospel Choir
Qween are Europe’s most authentic Queen Tribute. Qween’s live two hour production of Queen’s greatest hits preserves the image, sound, and stage personas of classic Queen. Support from AC/DC tribute IE/DC. More info here
Kaiser Chiefs
Kaiser Chiefs will perform in Limerick for the very first time as part of the Docklands festival series on Sunday, August 24th. The band are celebrating the 20-year anniversary of their iconic album ‘Employment’ in which they will perform in full along with a host of their top hits. Formed in Leeds in 2000, Kaiser Chiefs are one of the leading bands of their generation. Fronted by the charismatic Ricky Wilson with Simon Rix on bass, Andrew ‘Whitey’ White on guitar, Nick ‘Peanut’ Baines on keyboards and drummer Vijay Mistry, the band have had a string of anthemic hits such as ‘Oh My God’, ‘I Predict A Riot’, ‘Everyday I Love You Less and Less’, ‘Never Miss A Beat’ and ‘Hole In My Soul’. Concert Information
There is only one entrance to the venue – via Atlas Avenue (across from Casey’s Garage on the Dock Road).
Please arrive with plenty of time to get through the ID checks, bag checks and ticket checks to ensure you do not miss any of the show

Public Transport
There is no parking at the venue. Concert-goers are encouraged to plan their travel in advance and to use Public Transport where possible.
Are tickets still available?
At the time of writing, two of the gigs are sold out – Kingfishr and one of the Picture This gigs are sold out. However, there are still tickets to the other great shows happening
