Set against the vibrant backdrop of Limerick, Féile na Gréine champions the alternative, the local, and the downright brilliant. What is Féile na Gréine?

For those not in the know, Féile na Gréine is an independent, non-commercial music festival that is held annually in Limerick’s city centre. Dedicated to bringing forward-thinking, boundary-pushing music to our streets, this festival is all about discovery. Forget mainstream headliners—this is where experimental sounds meet the old-school DIY ethos, with a strong focus on Irish talent.

Féile na Gréine 2024 is shaping up to be the most ambitious yet, with acts spanning genres as diverse as post-punk, electronic, hip-hop, folk, and everything in between. It’s a three-day celebration of community, creativity, and our city’s thriving music scene, all while taking over unique spaces across Limerick.

Féile na Gréine takes advantage of Limerick’s diverse range of venues, offering a music trail around the city centre. Here’s a rundown of the locations being used this weekend:

Pharmacia: Known for its alternative and underground scene, this spot is a go-to for eclectic sounds and electric energy.

Record Room: Tucked beneath the Commercial Bar on Catherine, this intimate underground venue is at the heart of Limerick’s indie music scene

Mother Mac’s Public House: A traditional pub located close to the Milk Market, Mother Macs has an impressive range of tasty craft beers and whiskeys

Treaty City Brewery: A local brewery turning out fresh, small-batch craft beers in the heart of Limerick’s Medieval Quarter

Crew Brewing Co: A vibrant space brewing up a storm of flavor-packed beers served fresh from tank to tap. Located on the top of Thomas Street, just a stones throw away from the Wickham Way Market

Ormston House: An arts and cultural hub on Patrick Street where creativity flows through exhibitions, performances, and pop-up events, breathing life into Limerick’s contemporary scene.

Starling Artist Space: An eclectic collective space on Nicholas Street fostering creative growth, collaboration, and boundary-pushing projects by Limerick’s rising stars.

Getting Around

Limerick City is compact and walkable, making it easy to hop between venues on foot. The furthest walk between venues is about 20-25 minutes.

Parking can be tricky around the City, so leave the car at home if you can and use public transport where possible
