Lumen Street Theatre Fundraising Appeal

Lumen Street Theatre has been entertaining the people of Limerick over the past few years. Most notably, they were the organisers of the Samhain Festivals celebration of Halloween in Limerick. However, due to a fire at their storage facility (and family home), they have set up a Go Fund Me campaign. LeanOnMe passes €90,000 mark

LeanOnMe, a volunteer-led initiative launched to help generate cash flow for Limerick-based SMEs through the COVID-19 period, has recently passed the €90,000 mark in money raised for local businesses. The initiative, which was set up by Liveable Limerick and a team of volunteers, was launched in April 2020. As well as the volunteers, a number of Limerick business gave their time to support the portal. These included RHH International, Limerick Post, Grid Finance, Sellors Solicitors, E-live and Tola The site encourages people to purchase a voucher which will be redeemed at a later date when the chosen businesses reopen. Fox Jaw awarded Dolores O’Riordan Bursary

Alternative rock band Fox Jaw have been announced as the 2020 recipients of the Dolores O’Riordan Music Bursary by the Limerick Culture & Arts Office. The Bursary, launched last year to honour the late Cranberries singer. It grants up to €4,000 each year to a Limerick professional musician/band to develop their career. The first recipient was Emma Langford in 2019. Following an open call in April, Fox Jaw were chosen as this year’s recipients of the bursary.  Fox Jaw comprises of Ronan Mitchell, Morgan Nolan, Shane Serrano, Manolis Pates and Kieran J. Sims.
